Broke my arm in October - After therapy still have lots of pain and have not regained all movement.?

I took a full frontal fall last October, wham! I split my chin, bruised my head and pulled muscles and bruised my right leg, but the main problem was breaking my arm (left) about three inches below my shoulder (hurt, hurt, hurt!) and the resulting purple and black bruise that covered from the shoulder area all the way past the elbow. The bruising stayed for six weeks. The bone (on x-ray) seems to have healed nicely although I still have pain in the bone break area a few times a day. I cannot pick up the same amount that I could before, cannot move my arm back around my back (my daughter has to fasten my bra for me), nor can I raise it over my head the same as the other arm. This is going to be a liability issue with a lawsuit involved since I fell in water that should not have been on the floor, and did not receive proper medical care at first. I was wondering if anyone else had ever had a break/bruising like this to their arm and how long it took to regain their full movement. The doctor that the insurance company has me seeing will only say that I will regain full movement yet he will not say anything about "when". I don't want him to say next Friday, or next month, just a reasonable time frame so I can tell if I am progressing at an average pace. I am 60 years old and this is the first time in my life that I have broken a bone! Thanks for your comments.
