Blue vein occurrence?

Lately I have been noticing blue veins developing all over my body. I'm only 18, and it seems that every day, there's more veins, even on my sides. They don't really look like spider veins, they're lighter colored than that, and wider. And they're definitely not varicose veins. I'm not really sure why I'm developing so many all of a sudden, and was wondering if anyone knows what's going on or how to prevent more from occurring. Thanks!
