HSV treatment?

I am on long term treatment for . I have had it for 16 years now. I'm on a drug called acyclovir. I have never been informed of any long term side effects from these drugs. Yes, I told my Mum, but in hindsight because of the cirstances in which it was forced upon me, I wish I hadn't. I think, sometimes things like this are best kept to yourself. I think the decision to tell your parents lies with you and choose wisely. That is just my opinion. The long term treatment is very good and if I don't stop it I stay clear, but as soon as I do stop then its back with a vengance. I wish you the best.
