I am feeling guilty, my fiance......... Please read ahead?

We're all guilty of saying things we don't mean or getting a little harsh. At least he was drunk and may not remember the heated words. You're absolutely justified and have every right to be upset. You're concerned and he promised. Maybe this isn't as "casual" of an issue as you guys thought? I mean if he cant just not drink, even when it's causing him pain and health problems, then it sounds like he may have a problem with drinking. I think these situations can really be a test for the individual and you guys as a couple. Be supportive and patient because this seems bigger than him just choosing to drink...seems like he can't say no. At the same time don't be a door mat. He should respect your concerns and feelings even if he doesn't agree. Try letting things cool off and talk when he's sober and you're not so upset. Best of luck!!!
