How do i get out of this abusive relationship?

We have a 1yr old son together. Things have gone downhill since we moved to a new state, (closer to his family, I have no relatives in the state at all). he's begun to use profane language directed at me. our lease is up at the end of the year but i want out NOW!!! i can't afford to leave and he wont stop the abuse. a majority of the furniture and items are mine and i can't afford to support my son without his help. any suggestions?
